Song Meter Mini 2 Bat Detector and Acoustic Recorder

Song Meter MiniBat 2 (new 2025 model) for recording ultrasonics (bats) or acoustics (birds, frogs, koala, etc)

Includes:

- Strap to attach to tree
- Built-in ultrasonic microphone
- Acoustic microphone with wind shield
- 64GB SD card

Configure it via the Song Meter Mini configurator app for either IOS or Android.

Batteries NOT included. 4 or 8 x AA Alkaline or NIMH batteries are required.

May be used with a python lock (see separate listing) only to reduce the chance of theft, but it will still be able to be opened.

All of our units come upgraded to the latest firmware. Units can be set without configuring them further or after booking, we can provide you with common recording schedules straight to your phone via SMS for you to load yourself. Alternatively, you can use / create your own custom schedules. If you need something specific drop us a note in the Order Notes section at checkout and we can set it to your specifications.

As an indication, this unit will record the following durations without changing batteries or SD cards (assuming you use 8 x AA batteries and the included 64GB SD card):
- Acoustic all day and all night at 22050 Hz for 16 days / nights
- Acoustic night only at 22050 Hz for 33 nights
These times are based on the Wildlife Acoustics app and fewer days/nights recordings may occur with poorer quality AA batteries.
